Another country, another fashion. Now we will focus on the fashion in Tunisia, a little bit closer to Europe.
Tunisia is a very liberal country thus there are no clothing restrictions. Young Tunisians dress in contemporary European styles and many wear western clothes. Of course, there are still some exceptions.
A typical office dress consists of a jacket and a skirt for women and suits for men. Although there is a huge western invasion, traditional dresses are still worn by some women, mainly by older women, who are living in more remote areas or at official festivities and weddings. If you look at the pictures below, you can see different styles. On the one hand you can observe sexy, naturel and daily clothes that are likely worn in summer. On the other hand you can notice more traditional clothes: exotic dresses full of colours, less naked and prints based on the African trends.

Not only Nigeria organises a fashion week, also Tunisia pays attention to plan a fashion week. This is usually organised at the end of Mai and has a duration of three days. The fashion week gives the opportunity to the creators to speak free to a room full of guests consisting out of VIPās, national and international press, buyers, institutional and sponsors.

We can conclude that the fashion style in Tunisia shows more agreements with the fashion in Europa than Nigeria. Tunisia has a bigger influence of Western countries. An example is that the Tunisian women are not obligated to wear a headscarf. That does not mean that the religion is not important of course.
